Marina di Casal Velino

It’s a small seafearing village of very ancient origin. Since antiquity it was one of the harbours of the ancient city Elea-Velia used for commerce.
In the last years the town has been interested by a massive increase of population due to the urbanistic transformation of its towncenter. Numerous qualified hotels, residences, villages and agrituristic farms have rosen.
There is a turistic and fishing harbour and many commercial activities. During the summer a service of Hydrofoils connects Casalvelino with Salerno, Amalfi, Capri and Naples. More trips are organized by boat to visit the famous caves of Palinuro and the beautiful Cilento-coast both by day and night. Turistic fishing-trips are also organized.
